Hello, I’m Ruby. I hate bios that are written in the third person. I’m a traveling Swing and Blues Dance teacher based out of Chicago. I also practice massage therapy, and when I have room in my schedule, I design websites for small businesses. As you can see, I’m half geek, half body jock. In addition to spending an inordinate amount of time thinking about dance, watching dance videos and dancing, I also read an awful lot about nutrition and biochemistry. My favorite podcasts are of the scientific variety as well as live storytelling.
I obsess about getting better, getting fitter and being more efficient in the digital realm. I’m currently (December, 2011) writing a novel, which sucks, but that’s okay, because Hemingway said, “the first draft is always shit.”
